Bosch Packaging Enhances Process Portfolio

Bosch Packaging Technology has added Manesty tablet presses and coaters to its portfolio, enhancing process technology with new components. The tablet presses in the Xpress product range include: the new Xpress 100 tablet press and the Xpress 700, and the XL Cota 150 tablet coater.
 
The Manesty Xpress 100 incorporates a data acquisition system that provides a platform for evaluation of new tableting formulations and with a range of flexible turret options, clinical trial batches can also be produced. The Xpress product range consists of single and double-sided rotary tablet presses as well as a WiP-option (Wash-in-Place) allowing for tablet production of small, medium and large batch sizes. The machines also incorporate an ergonomic design.
 
The double-sided tablet press Xpress 700 manufactures as many as one million tablets per hour and a single-layer tablet press can be converted to the bi-layer version in less than one hour, according to the company. The machine features automatic weight control for each layer and complete segregation of different materials for a clearly defined demarcation line of the tablets.
 
The XL Cota 150 was developed for batches as large as 230 liters and designed for use with aqueous, organic solvent or sugar coating media, optional control and cleaning systems for tablet coating.
